Packa-Ching Mobile Recycling Unit

Project Nelson Mandela Bay - Clean City Task Team uses the Packa-Ching mobile recycling unit to help the community gain back by swopping trash for cash. A Packa-Ching recycling unit consists of a recycling collection truck and trailer that services communities at designated sites on set day/s every week.

The Mobile Recycling Unit is an entrepreneur-focused approach and has been made easily accessible so it can regularly visit numerous communities within the area.

The Mobile Recycling Unit is spreading, spreading and covering as much ground as possible is what it takes to accomplish cleaning up our beautiful city. This programme is seen as a win-win for residents, the retailer and the environment.

With the help of The Waste Trade Company, Packa-Ching has proudly achieved a 100% recycling rate in under a year. Our ongoing efforts result in an average monthly recycling of 50 tonnes, with a total collection exceeding 215 tonnes to date.
